As traffic congestion has become a prevalent concern for drivers in today's world, finding ways to streamline their driving experience has emerged as a top priority. This problem can be addressed by installing an RFID sticker on your vehicle, since this can simplify the process of accessing highway toll booths, parking facilities, and other services requiring identification and payment. This way, it eliminates cash or card transactions and speeds up the line-waiting process. One of the leading providers of RFIDs on expressways in the Philippines is Easytrip.

Easytrip is an electronic tollway collection system operated by the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) through its innovations arm, MPT Mobility. It offers a range of products that enable motorists traversing MPTC’s network of toll expressways to enjoy seamless and hassle-free travel. Easytrip’s flagship product is the ETC RFID sticker that enables cashless payment in designated toll lanes with ease.

Using the Easytrip RFID Sticker

By utilizing electromagnetic fields, Easytrip can easily recognize and monitor sticker-equipped vehicles. A radio transponder, a radio receiver, and a radio transmitter are included in the RFID device. During the toll collection process at MPTC's expressways, RFID scanners detect the vehicle's class and account information. It will determine if the vehicle has enough balance to enter the toll gate, making the payment process more efficient than cash.

Easytrip RFID also offers numerous benefits to motorists, including:

  • Faster transactions to reduce travel time and traffic congestion
  • Convenient travel without waiting in long lines at toll plazas
  • RFID stickers can be used on multiple expressways operated by MPTC
  • RFID users are entitled to a variety of promotions and discounts
  • Contactless transactions as users can enjoy reloading and managing their RFID accounts online or through MPT DriveHub—a mobile app that allows real-time balance checking and reloading of Easytrip RFID.
